Description
Metal holmium can be obtained by reducing anhydrous holmium trichloride or holmium trifluoride with metallic calcium. Holmium metal is introduced into hydrogen to absorb hydrogen to obtain brittle holmium hydride solid. Then, holmium metal powder can be obtained by dehydrogenation at vacuummed and high temperature.
