Erbium Nitrate Hydrate Er(NO3)3 5H2O CAS 10031-51-3 For Inorganic Nanomaterials

Erbium nitrate (Er(NO)₃) is a pink granular crystal that dissolves in water and alcohol, dehydrates when heated, and deliquates easily in humid air. It is mainly used in the manufacture of erbium compound intermediates, optical glasses and chemical reagents. As a strong oxidizing agent, erbium nitrate has important applications in the preparation of explosives and rocket propellants. At the same time, it can also be used as a catalyst to promote chemical reactions. In the field of optics, erbium nitrate can be used as an additive to fluorescent materials, giving them special luminous properties.

    product detail

Name: Erbium nitrateErbium nitrate hydrate                         Molecular formula: Er(NO3)3·5H2O

    CAS: 10031-51-3                                                                       Molecular weight: 353.27

Description: Erbium nitrate is a pink crystal. When heated to 130 ℃, 4 molecules of crystal water will be lost. High temperature decomposition produces erbium oxide. It is soluble in water, ethanol, ether and acetone, dehydrated in case of heat, and deliquesced easily in humid air. Vibration or heating can cause an explosion. The preparation method of erbium nitrate is to heat erbium oxide to high temperature and then dissolve it in nitric acid, and then evaporate and concentrate it to obtain five or six water salts.
