Cerium(IV) Sulfate Ce(SO4)2 nH2O CAS 13590-82-4 For Electroplating Additive
product detail
Name: Cerium(IV) sulfate, Ceric sulfate Molecular formula: Ce(SO4)2·nH2O
CAS: 13590-82-4 Molecular weight: 404.30
Description: Cerium sulfate is a yellow or orange crystalline powder. Crystal water is lost at 155 ℃, heated to 180-200 ℃ to form anhydrous substance, and decomposed to cerium sulfate above 350 ℃. Soluble in dilute sulfuric acid, slightly soluble in water and, in a large number of water decomposition into basic salt. As a strong oxidant, Cr3+ can be oxidized to CrO42-, which makes cotton fiber light red. The preparation method is to react cerium dioxide with concentrated sulfuric acid, after the solid dissolves completely, heat and crystallize, and filter to obtain cerium sulfate.
